Located on the opposite side of the popular Roopkund trek, Brahmatal stands out as a fantastic winter trekking destination. One of the highlights of this journey is the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Standing at an altitude of 3,180 meters, the glacial lake is surrounded by a pristine blanket of snow, turning it into a true winter wonderland for snow enthusiasts. You’ll be treated to stunning views of towering peaks such as Trishul, Nandaghunti, Chowkhamba, Nilkanth, Kamet, and the twin peaks of Hathi and Ghoda.

As you trek along this route, you’ll also catch glimpses of the Roopkund trail, including Ali Bugyal, Bedni Bugyal, and Junargali. The trail takes you through dense coniferous forests filled with Cedar, Oak, and Fir trees, creating a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere, especially in winter. Day 1
Arrival in Lohajung (7,650 ft)
Kickstart your trekking adventure by arriving at the charming village of Lohajung, situated at 7,650 ft. Take some time to acclimate to the altitude, explore the area, and soak in the breathtaking mountain views as you prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2
Trek from Lohajung to Bekaltal (9,900 ft) – 6 km
Your trek officially begins as you make your way from Lohajung to Bekaltal. This 6 km hike takes you through dense oak and rhododendron forests, offering beautiful scenery and a gradual ascent to 9,900 ft. Upon reaching Bekaltal, you'll be rewarded with the sight of a serene lake surrounded by snow-covered trees.
Day 3
Trek from Bekaltal to Brahmatal (10,600 ft) – 5 km
Today, you’ll trek 5 km to reach Brahmatal. As you continue ascending, the trail opens up to more expansive views, and you’ll be surrounded by snow-laden landscapes. Arriving at Brahmatal, you’ll camp near the enchanting lake, which adds to the magical winter atmosphere.
Day 4
Day 4: Trek to Brahmatal Top (12,650 ft) and Back to Brahmatal – 6 km
This is the most exciting day of the trek as you make your way to the summit of Brahmatal Top, reaching an elevation of 12,650 ft. The 6 km round trip offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, including Trishul and Nandaghunti. After soaking in the incredible sights, you’ll descend back to Brahmatal for the night.
Day 5
Day 5: Trek from Brahmatal to Lohajung – 11 km
On your final trekking day, you’ll cover 11 km as you descend from Brahmatal back to Lohajung. The route offers a chance to revisit the stunning forests and mountain scenery, making it a memorable end to your trek.
Day 6
Day 6: Departure from Lohajung
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the mountains and start your journey back home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Brahmatal adventure.

Forest Entry Fees: Entrance fees for the forest areas are taken care of as part of the package.
Porter and Mule Services: Porters and mules will be available to transport all the necessary camping gear. Note: If you wish to have your personal luggage carried by mules or porters, this service is available for an additional charge.
Meals: Enjoy wholesome vegetarian meals, starting with dinner on the first day and ending with brunch on the last day.
Accommodation: Throughout the trek, you will stay in comfortable tents. If a guest house is available at any point, you may have the option to stay there as well.

Personal Expenses: Any personal costs, such as tips, personal medications, phone calls, and other miscellaneous expenses, are your responsibility.
Additional Transportation: Any extra transportation assistance needed during the trek, aside from what is mentioned in the inclusions, is not covered.
Porter/Mule Charges for Personal Luggage: If you wish to have your personal luggage carried, porters or mules can do so for an additional fee of ₹350 per bag per day, with a maximum weight limit of 12 kg per bag per person.
